Cablecraft Motion Controls seeks a Director of Supply Chain to lead and optimize supply chain operations for two Cablecraft manufacturing facilities.  

In this key leadership role, you’ll oversee purchasing, material planning, and supplier management for our Bolivar, OH and St. Matthews, SC locations.  You will lead a team of Buyers, implement cost-saving sourcing strategies, and ensure that our materials and supply chain operations run seamlessly to support production and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive supply chain excellence across two sites.
  • Lead and coach a team of Buyers.
  • Build strategic relationships with suppliers.
  • Align material planning with production needs.
  • Champion process improvements and inventory control.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field (MBA/APICS preferred).
  • 10+ years of supply chain experience in manufacturing.
  • Proven leadership managing supply chain teams across multiple locations.
  • Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, and SolidWorks.
  • Strong negotiation and ERP system skills (SAP and Epicor).

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on leadership while working side-by-side with Plant leaders and Corporate financial team.
  • Create, oversee and monitor operational budgets and cost rates
  • Timely and accurate month-end close including the production of financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted principles or international financial reporting standards.
  • Establish, direct, and maintain sound financial accounting practices and procedures, internal controls and management reporting systems for internal and external reporting.
  • Ensure internal controls are adequate to safeguard company assets and property
  • Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures; implement a system of controls over accounting transactions to minimize risk.
  • Recommend benchmarks that will be used to measure the company’s performance.
  • Produce annual budget and forecasts; reports significant budget differences to management.
  • Provide financial analysis, with emphasis on capital investments, pricing decisions and contract negotiations.
  • Work with external auditors and provides needed information for the annual audit.
  • Ensures compliance with local, state and federal government requirements.
  • Provide leadership and demonstrate commitment to Strategic Plan.
  • Communicate organizational and individual goals to direct reports. Provide feedback and maintain consistency of purpose and direction.
  • Assure that all company policies, procedures, and practices are consistently followed.
  • Responsible for cash management, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Manage general and cost accounting functions, payroll, accounts payable, credit, collections, and job cost estimating.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) in Accounting or Finance from an accredited college or university.
  • Five to ten minimum experience in industry-related experience.
  • Equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Computer literacy a must.

Physical demands: 

  • Works at desk with a telephone and personal computer for majority of shift.
  • Works within a manufacturing environment with occasional exposure to noise, heat, cold, fumes and chemicals.
  • Ability to travel, although infrequent to support the business demands.
  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
