Position Overview

Cablecraft is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Buyer / Procurement Supervisor to lead purchasing operations for our Bolivar manufacturing facility. This position combines strategic procurement, supplier management, inventory planning and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead procurement activities for assigned commodities and suppliers.
  • Develop sourcing strategies balancing cost, quality, delivery and risk.
  • Negotiate supplier pricing, contracts and long-term agreements.
  • Lead supplier development and cost-reduction initiatives.
  • Evaluate supplier performance using scorecards and KPIs.
  • Manage purchasing activities through Epicor ERP.
  • Drive inventory optimization and improve inventory turns.
  • Lead and develop purchasing and receiving team members.
  • Support Lean and continuous-improvement initiatives.
  • Support cross-site sourcing and supply-chain programs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Engineering or a related field preferred.
  • 7+ years of manufacturing purchasing or procurement experience.
  • MRP / ERP experience required.
  • Epicor experience strongly preferred.
  • Supplier negotiation experience required.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.

Position Overview

The Machine Set-Up / Operator prepares, adjusts and verifies production equipment for manufacturing jobs. The role installs proper tooling and fixtures, manages materials and lot control, performs quality checks and supports safe, efficient production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform initial production-equipment set-ups.
  • Select proper tooling, fixtures and machinery.
  • Manage materials and lot control.
  • Interpret specifications, schedules and job orders.
  • Perform quality checks and inspection documentation.
  • Troubleshoot routine machine and tooling issues.
  • Inspect machines and tooling for proper operation.
  • Operate tow-motor equipment for material movement.
  • Follow machine-safety and PPE requirements.
  • Support 5S and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • One year of related experience and/or training or equivalent education and experience.
  • Practical mathematics and problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to read and understand production documentation.

The Strand & Wrap Operator / Technician supports manufacturing operations by setting up and operating production machinery, monitoring product quality and adjusting equipment to maintain required specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Measure and examine products for defects and specification compliance.
  • Determine machine setup procedures.
  • Select, install and change production dies.
  • Set machine pressure, temperature and speed controls.
  • Replace worn tooling when necessary.
  • Reel products to specified lengths and weights.
  • Operate forklifts to move and stage materials.
