Materials Manager - Location (New Haven, IN)
Requirements:
The Materials Manager will oversee the production scheduling process, inventory management, raw material and supply planning, as well as purchasing. Materials Manager would manage buyer/planners to establish production schedules based on customer demand and inventory, plan and order necessary direct material, and coordinate purchase of indirect spend.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead a team and work in a hands-on role that includes production planning, purchasing, inventory control, stockroom and receiving.
• Implement and standardize processes related to scheduling, logistics and purchasing
• Partner with customer service teams to ensure production schedules are aligned with standard lead times and customer needs, as appropriate
• Manage material flow through the facility and external warehouses including
• Manage inventory performance (levels and delivery) with a focus on raw materials to exceed facility operational targets
• Maintains and ensures accuracy of the perpetual inventory system and coordinates write-offs on damaged or obsolete inventory to reflect accurate value of inventory.
• Works with purchasing department to schedule delivery of materials, supplies, and equipment.
• Oversees shipping and receiving functions related to purchased parts and finished goods.
• Implement & enforce company systems, policies and procedures including enforcing safety regulations.
• Identifies opportunities to reduce transportation costs and charges.
• Works with accounting to establish procedures for conducting and valuing year-end physical inventory.
• Manages and trains personnel in the purchasing department, conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive, and handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.
Required Skills/Abilities:
• Strong relationship building skills and the ability to work in a team-based environment.
• Professional telephone and communication skills including strong listening and clear and concise language abilities.
• Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s polices and applicable laws.
• Must have flexibility in regard to work schedule.
• Able to utilize Microsoft Office suite effectively.
• Self-directed, creative, problem solver and is customer focused in ability and attitude.
• Capable of efficient, accurate and timely data entry and information management along with willingness to learn new tools and apply them correctly.
• Experience with MRP/ERP software. SAP experience is preferable.
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) or equivalent from a four-year college
• Five years minimum experience and/or training.
• Equivalent combination of experience and education.
• Computer literacy a must.

Buyer/Purchasing Agent - Location (New Haven, IN)
Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Production Analyst to support manufacturing operations by managing production orders, tracking inventory, and optimizing production planning. This role will be responsible for analyzing demand, ensuring material availability, and identifying process improvements to enhance efficiency. The ideal candidate has experience in SAP, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Convert planned orders into production orders for finished and sub-assembly products in SAP.
• Issue materials to released production orders and track inventory movement.
• Monitor part shortages and coordinate with purchasing and production teams to resolve constraints.
• Develop production plans based on demand forecasts and historical usage to ensure optimal lot sizing.
• Analyze and assess lot sizes for outside processing (e.g., plating, heat treatment) to maximize cost savings.
• Manage production order adjustments due to routing or quantity changes.
• Perform variance analysis on completed production orders, collaborating with finance teams for reporting.
• Maintain data accuracy in SAP, ensuring production order integrity and system housekeeping.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance manufacturing efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Qualifications & Skills:
• Experience: 2+ years in production analysis, planning, manufacturing, or supply chain roles (SAP experience preferred).
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word), and other ERP/MRP systems.
• Analytical Ability: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret production data and identify trends.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to coordinate with cross-functional teams.
• Attention to Detail: Ability to manage high transaction volumes while ensuring data accuracy.
• Self-Motivation: Works independently while collaborating within a manufacturing team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in manufacturing, aerospace, automotive, or industrial production.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and supply chain processes.
• Background in financial variance analysis related to production planning.
